Gordon Stefaniuk has always been a voracious reader, spending more time in the library than in the playground. A fifth-grade teacher ignited the fire, giving him a paperback copy of The Guns of Navarone. Action Adventure led to Science Fiction and Fantasy along with a smattering of the classics. Gordon attended the University of Alberta graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science concentrating in computer science. He worked as a computer systems analyst in Canada and moved to the United States in 1997 to continue working as a consultant to several Fortune 500 companies. Working on the road, he filled his time learning to sail, exploring new restaurants, and writing short stories. He left the computer industry after thirty years to pursue new opportunities. With his wife Susan, he moved to the Oregon coast where he received a degree in the Culinary Arts. During that time, he took several creative writing courses. Unfortunately, an injury prevented him from cooking full-time and he transitioned to working at his wife’s medical practice and writing part-time. He created the creative cooking website CHEF-THINK.COM which he posted from 2013 to 2018. He now spends his time writing full-time, attending writer’s conferences, and cooking for friends and family. He lives in the North Georgian Hills near the beginning of the Appalachian Trail with his wife Susan and a silver miniature schnauzer, Dobby.
